Antenna orientation, wear & tear and non-directionality have given rise to some range problems with our long range and miniquad pilots. We therefore sat down with IBCrazy and designed this antenna to be as durable as possible. A diamond lasts forever!

With a slight directionality to give you more range when flying in front of you, but still a solid link when flying behind you. The antenna uses the floor you are standing on to reflect and therefore boost your signal out beyond what traditional antennas can manage.

"The story behind the diamond antenna:
A few pilots were experiencing drop-outs to what seemed to be happening at random. I examined 4 cases one found that all of the failing happened all at the same relative azimuth. It was seen that conductive soil caused a zero between the 0-5 and 15-20 degrees azimuth. This wasn't a crossfire problem for everyone! I was a problem with the floor they were standing on!
To fix this, I developed an antenna that would not only resist the effects of the ground, but would fly along the ground for low altitude. To do this a balanced closed loop structure was needed. The result was the TBS diamond antenna. "
